bringing Women together to support & encourage one another to get active and become healthier and happier

  • Our mission

To get more women and girls active and help them become happier and healthier through the positive experience of group exercise

To create activity groups that are encouraging, inclusive and welcoming where women feel supported and confident enough to take their first steps into exercise without fear of judgement or competition

Making exercise groups free and accessible to all plus working to remove other barriers which prevent women from exercising

    HOW?

By inspiring like-minded women to volunteer to lead activity groups, bringing local communities together to support and motivate one another

By providing our volunteer group leaders with the training and support they need to start an activity group of their own

Together with Mole Valley Sports and local sports clubs, develop a programme of free beginners activity sessions to introduce women to new sports

  • Who we are

Philippa Curphey and Eleanor Lestrange are Mum buddies and great friends who met 4 years ago at the nursery gates.

Like many women, their main focus over the last few years has been family and work, and as a result, not doing any regular exercise at all. However a couple of years ago over the obligatory glass of wine, they decided they had to adjust their priorities and make time for their own health and fitness!

After a slow start, they grew in confidence and in 2016 decided to take on huge personal challenges. In April 2017 Philippa successfully ran The London Marathon and in August Eleanor completed the 100-mile cycling challenge, The Prudential Ride London.

Having experienced firsthand the positive impact that exercise has on both mental and physical wellbeing, they now feel compelled to share what they have learned and so have put their boundless enthusiasm and passion for sports to good use and created a new initiative

    'All Girls Can'.

The duo have set up free beginner’s activity groups in their local area specifically designed to help women and girls of all ages feel welcome, encouraged and confident enough to take those first steps into exercise.

Their mission now is to provide the support needed and to inspire others to do the same.

  • Join our team of volunteers and inspire

    others to get active

'All Girls Can' is all about sharing our passion for getting active and encouraging and empowering others to do the same.

This wonderful initiative is only possible because of an inspiring bunch of ladies who have come forward to run sessions and to warmly welcome and encourage our 'All Girls Can' members, every step of the way. They do it because it feels good.

Volunteering really is addictive. Once you know how good it feels to give something back, it's difficult to stop.

Most of us have faced health challenges in our life at one time or another, be it maintaining good mental health or keeping physically fit. We can also all relate to how difficult it is to get out and do some exercise for the first time in a long time. Knowing that you have been a part of helping someone start to overcome a personal challenge is incredibly rewarding.

So now it's down to you to put your hand up and for us to train and support you every step of the way

If you would like to get involved and help share the ‘All Girls Can’ thing by encouraging the ladies in your community to get out and get active, then we would love to hear from you. Send us a message and we'll be in touch with details of how you can get involved!
